By partnering with nonprofit organizations, Mellon Jazz underwrites jazz concerts and concert series, educational initiatives and scholarships in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. This year-round focus provides cultural and educational institutions with exceptional opportunities to offer the best in jazz artistry under the Mellon Jazz brand.

Additionally, Mellon Jazz recognizes industry excellence including artists and community leaders who stand as champions of jazz via three prestigious awards: Mellon Jazz Community Award - Pittsburgh, Mellon Jazz Community Award - Philadelphia and Mellon Jazz Living Legacy Award.
