CIBC Mellon to Provide Global Custody Services for Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Pension Plan

TORONTO, February 13, 2003 — CIBC Mellon announced today that it will provide global custody services for the Toronto-based Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Pension Plan (CAAT Pension Plan), making it their sole custody provider. CIBC Mellon has provided domestic custody to CAAT Pension Plan for the last six years. The total value of the portfolio is $3.3 billion.

Services in this mandate include global securities lending, benefit payments and fund accounting. The new global assets will be converted to CIBC Mellon in spring 2003.
