Eagle Launches Stand-Alone Investment Performance Measurement Suite at SIA Technology Conference
—Suite Offers Tailored Approach to Performance Measurement Solutions—

Boston, June 17, 2003 — Eagle Investment Systems Corp. today announced the official launch of Eagle Performance, a stand-alone version of its performance system that addresses the calculation, analysis, and reporting needs of investment managers. Eagle Performance is now available as a menu of solutions for investment portfolio performance, mutual fund performance, AIMR-PPS®/GIPS® composite management, performance attribution, and analysis and reporting.

"Investment managers need sophisticated tools to measure, analyze, and communicate their performance within the firm and to their clients," said Jack Riley, Eagle's CEO. "Because of its modular nature, Eagle Performance provides investment firms with the option of implementing the entire suite or selecting the tools they need to achieve their immediate objectives."

"Eagle's leading-edge technology provides a solid foundation for performance measurement applications," said Bruce Feibel, Eagle's director of performance measurement technology. "We are pleased to offer the industry a fully Web- and rules-based performance measurement suite that helps firms address performance requirements across all their internal departments, asset classes, strategies, and investment vehicles using a shared data infrastructure and modular software."

The solutions that make up Eagle Performance include:

  • Portfolio Performance — calculates daily returns for investment portfolios and the securities within them, risk, and risk-adjusted returns, and validates the results with exception-based auditing tools.
  • Mutual Fund Performance — automates data collection and shareholder pre- and post-tax return calculation according to SEC and third-party distribution requirements.
  • AIMR-PPS®/GIPS® Composite Management — enables automated maintenance of performance data that complies with industry standards through the use of composite maintenance and measurement tools.
  • Performance Attribution — quantifies the impact of investment decisions resulting from asset allocation, security selection, and currency management decisions.
  • Analysis & Reporting — enables organizations to deploy adhoc performance analysis capabilities, as well as develop client report packages, fact sheets, and other reports.

Eagle currently has approximately 40 clients using or implementing Eagle Performance solutions including Ark Asset Management, Frank Russell Company, State Street Research, and Newton Investment Management.

Eagle is exhibiting at SIA's Technology Management Conference and Exhibit from June 17-19, 2003 at the Hilton New York. Visit Eagle's Booth #2401 to learn more about Eagle Performance.
