Mellon Global Cash Management to Host Free Cyberconference on NACHA Rule Changes

PITTSBURGH, October 25, 2005 — A free cyberconference on "Understanding NACHA's Rule Changes: A Look at New ACH Initiatives and Applications on the Horizon" will be presented by Mellon Global Cash Management (GCM) on Wednesday, October 26 from 2-3 p.m. EDT. Registration for the event can be done online at www.mellon.com/insight05 or by calling 1 800 424-3004.

The presentation will review the most recent rule changes by NACHA — the Electronic Payments Association, along with best practices to deter rules violations and new initiatives that may help companies realize the benefits of converting more paper payments to electronics. Leading the discussion will be Sam Robb, vice president and senior ACH product manager at Mellon and a member of the Steering Committee of NACHA's Electronic Check Council/co-leader of the Council's Strategic Initiatives Work Group.

Other upcoming Mellon GCM-hosted cyberconferences include:

  • "Questions Every Treasury Department Should Ask in 2006" on Wednesday, November 16 from 2-3 p.m. EST. A panel of Mellon GCM product line representatives will outline the industry issues facing corporate treasury professionals as a new year approaches, as well as a review of key questions that companies can ask themselves to assist in their efforts to develop beneficial action plans for 2006.
  • "A New Automated Solution for Cash Application Exception Management" on Wednesday, December 7 from 2-3 p.m. EST. Mellon's remittance processing and finance and accounting business process outsourcing product experts will outline Mellon's new Web-based Cash Application Exception Management service. This efficient, automated cash application exception management solution is designed to enable automated tracking, analysis and an electronic workflow to support exception resolution, with real-time abilities to monitor accuracy, pull reports and prioritize critical items.
