Mellon 1st Business Bank Promotes Maureen Finn to Regional Vice President-Orange County, David Cobb to Oversee Credit Administration

LOS ANGELES, November 3, 2005 — Mellon 1st Business Bank (M1BB) has promoted commercial banking veteran Maureen Finn as regional vice president for Orange County, in addition to promoting David Cobb to senior vice president of credit administration.

"The promotions of these key contributors recognize the significant roles both have played to the continued, successful growth of our organization, especially in the Orange County region," said Christopher D. Myers, M1BB chairman and chief executive officer.

Finn, who has been in the commercial banking industry in Orange County for some 25 years, joined M1BB in January 2001 as a senior relationship manager. Prior to joining M1BB, she was the area group manager for Sanwa Bank California, regional personnel manager for Lloyds Bank California and also held customer service management positions with Bank of America. Finn is involved in numerous community activities, having served on the board of the Mission Hospital Foundation and officer roles on the parent association of Children's Choice and McDowell School.

Cobb, who will report to Jeffrey McGraa, M1BB executive vice president and chief credit officer, in his new role, joined the organization in 1990 as a relationship manager. He has serviced continuously in the Orange County office. Previously, Cobb worked for Bank of America and Union Bank. He has been active in Rotary International and is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Cobb received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Tulane University and a master's degree in education from Northeastern University.

Since its founding in 1981, M1BB has exhibited strong growth and record strong earnings. In the face of a challenging external environment in recent years, the organization has continued to post record earnings and record deposit growth. With more than $3 billion in assets, Mellon 1st Business Bank provides full commercial banking services to businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners through its headquarters office and five regional offices in the growing Southern California region. It also is part of an extensive network of Mellon businesses already operating in the region under the umbrella of Mellon West, which provides financial products and services to individuals and businesses in 14 western states.
