Mellon Global Investments Japan Launches $750M Fund
LONDON, 5 December 2005 — Mellon Global Investments, the international distribution subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation, has announced the launch of the Nikko Mellon Tri-Asset Fund by its operations in Japan, Mellon Global Investments Japan. This new launch is one of the largest fund launches Mellon has undertaken at an initial fund size of over $750m.
The Nikko Mellon Tri-Asset Fund is a global balanced fund that aims to achieve a stable return and pay a dividend to investors. Its assets are split into three areas, global bonds (60%), global equities (20%) and global real estate (20%)*. Standish Mellon Asset Management and Mellon Capital Management will manage the fixed income portion of the fund, The Boston Company Asset Management will manage global equities, and AMP Capital Investors will manage the real estate element of the portfolio.
