Mellon Names Gregory J. Cicero to Senior Management Committee
PITTSBURGH, December 12, 2005 Mellon Financial Corporation announced that Gregory J. Cicero, head of Mellon Global Cash Management (GCM), has been named to the Corporation's Senior Management Committee. Cicero, 49, has been with Mellon GCM for 22 years. Mellon's Senior Management Committee supports the Executive Management Group in developing and implementing Corporatewide strategies and business plans.
"Throughout his Mellon GCM career, Greg has played a key role in developing and bringing to market many innovative, comprehensive treasury management solutions," said Robert W. Stasik, head of Mellon's Payment Solutions & Investor Services sector. "He also has a wealth of knowledge in managing both products and operational support."
Cicero joined Mellon GCM in 1983 as manager of an operations analysis and consulting team. He then served as general manager for Mellon GCM's Dallas lockbox facility, returning in 1989 to Pittsburgh, where he has held several product management positions for both paper-based and electronic services. Most recently, Cicero was director of product management for all cash management products, reporting directly to Stasik. Prior to joining Mellon, Cicero was a senior consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he specialized in systems design and installation for large manufacturing companies. He received bachelor's degrees in economics and psychology and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He also is a certified cash manager.
