Dimitri is Mellon’s CIO, Head of Multi-Asset. He oversees the team of portfolio managers and researchers responsible for the firm’s multi-asset strategies. He also leads development and enhancement of the research underpinning the firm’s multi-asset strategies. Dimitri and his team develop tools and models for all asset classes including equities, debt, currency, commodities and volatility. His areas of research include absolute return and total return strategies as well as alternative risk premia and tail risk hedging solutions. Previously, he was head of asset allocation research.
Dimitri has been active in the research field since 1998. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, he worked as a computational systems engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Previously, he was the founder and manager of an engineering consultancy in France. Dimitri earned an MS in computer science from Imperial College in London and an MSc in mechanical engineering from Zurich Federal Institute of Technology.
