Deepak is the head of fixed income quantitative research responsible for the strategic direction and enhancement of all fixed income quant strategies. Deepak reports to Dave Leduc, CIO, Head of Fixed Income.
Prior to joining Mellon, Deepak was a leader in global macro and fixed income quant research at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), specializing in global credit, emerging markets, and ESG. Prior to that, he was the Principal and Head of Research at DCI Investment Management in San Francisco.
Deepak began his career in 2002 as a research director at Moody’s KMV. In parallel with his industry career, he also taught at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley for nearly ten years.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in electronics & communication engineering at the University of Jodhpur, India and his PhD in finance from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
